Our mission is to help individuals break free from anxiety and stress by transforming the way they breathe, think, and respond to fear and uncertainty. By teaching nervous system regulation as a hard skill- through evidence-based breathwork, nervous system training, and guided cold exposure- we empower our clients with fast-acting tools to create lasting change. Whether you’re an overworked professional, an athlete pushing your limits, or someone who has tried everything and still feels stuck, we offer a structured, research-driven approach to nervous system mastery.
Our Mission
Ice bath events are more than a practice—they are powerful gatherings where individuals face discomfort, find support, and push through their limits together.
A Transformative Community Experience
We uniquely combine breathwork, cognitive reframing, and controlled stress exposure (ice baths) to help clients not just manage anxiety but rewire their response to it.
A Holistic & Integrative Approach
Clients track progress through the Breathing IQ and Parasympathetic Recovery Score, quantifying their nervous system improvements over time.
Actionable & Measurable Results
Our methods are backed by published studies, ensuring that every technique we teach has proven benefits.
Rooted in Research
We focus on baseline breathing mechanics, teaching clients how to breathe efficiently for long-term stress resilience.
Boston’s Only Breathwork Coaching Specializing in Nervous System Regulation
What Makes Us Different?
Rachel Lee is the founder and CEO of Ice Bath Boston & Breath in Needham, Massachusetts, where she offers one-to-one nervous system regulation coaching and corporate wellness grounded in breathing mechanics and cold water immersion. She has delivered more than 3,200 hours of one-to-one coaching and is a clinical selective site for Tufts University School of Medicine.
She is a co-author of research published in Frontiers in Physiology on measuring diaphragmatic breathing efficiency and holds a pending patent for the Downshift Score, a cold water emergent technology that quantifies autonomic nervous system downregulation. She co-leads the semi-annual Fundamentals of Longevity retreat at Kripalu and co-founded Squash Dreamers, a nonprofit supporting young girls in Amman, Jordan.
Her path to this work started with her own nervous system.
After a career teaching biology, chemistry, math, and science in Amman, Jordan and Philadelphia, she moved into the fitness industry and founded her first company, YOU Wellness, built to help women take up space through strength training and intuitive nutrition.
Her breakthrough came after years of searching for relief from anxiety and depression triggered by a major trauma six days after she graduated high school. A decade of prescriptions, therapy, and medical interventions brought her partway. Cold water immersion and breathwork took her the rest of the way, and taught two things she now builds everything around: adaptive coping requires a full range of tools, and nervous system regulation must be practiced as a learned skill.
